Get the app

Skywave DX installs straight from your browser, with no app store: it gets its own icon, opens in its own window, works with your lock screen and headphone controls, and opens instantly.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Open skywavedx.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open skywavedx.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap Install when it’s offered, or the ⋮ menu → Install app (or Add to Home screen).

Mac (Safari)

  1. Open skywavedx.com in Safari (macOS Sonoma or later).
  2. Choose File → Add to Dock.

Mac, Windows, Linux, Chromebook (Chrome or Edge)

  1. Open skywavedx.com in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar (or the menu → Install Skywave DX).

Good to know

  • Long-press the app icon (or right-click it on a computer) for shortcuts to Listen, Shortwave and Library.
  • Your liked stations, DX log and settings stay on the device; use More → Sync to share them with another device.
  • On iPhone and iPad, music keeps playing with the screen locked when the equalizer is set to Flat.
  • Removing the app is like removing any app; nothing else is installed.
